Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Juber platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including athletes, coaches, and visitors. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of Juber constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Account Creation

To use certain features of Juber, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

Account Types

• **Athletes**: Users seeking BJJ training and coaching services

• **Coaches**: Verified instructors offering training services through the platform

Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Users under 18 may only use Juber with parental or guardian consent and supervision.

Eligibility

To become a coach on Juber, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Hold a blue belt or higher in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

• Pass our identity verification process

• Complete a background check through our approved provider

• Maintain valid liability insurance (we can help you obtain this)

Verification Process

All coaches must complete our verification process, which includes:

• Government ID verification

• Belt rank verification (via academy certification or video verification)

• Background check screening

• Profile review by our Trust & Safety team

Ongoing Requirements

Coaches must:

• Maintain accurate profile information

• Respond to booking requests within 24 hours

• Honor confirmed bookings or cancel with appropriate notice

• Adhere to our Community Guidelines and safety standards

• Maintain professional conduct at all times

Booking Process

Athletes may book sessions with coaches through the platform. A booking is confirmed when the athlete completes payment and receives confirmation.

Payments

• All payments are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor

• Athletes are charged at the time of booking

• Payment is held until the session is completed

• Coaches receive payouts weekly via direct deposit

Pricing

Coaches set their own session rates. Juber charges a service fee (5-15% depending on coach plan) which is deducted from the coach's earnings.

Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellation policies are set by individual coaches and displayed on their profiles

• If a coach cancels, the athlete receives a full refund

• If an athlete cancels within the coach's cancellation window, fees may apply

• Disputes should be reported within 48 hours of the scheduled session

No-Shows

• If a coach fails to attend a confirmed session, the athlete receives a full refund and the coach may face account penalties

• If an athlete fails to attend without canceling, the coach keeps the full session fee

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information

• Harass, abuse, or harm another person

• Use the platform for any illegal purpose

• Circumvent platform fees by arranging off-platform payments

• Share another user's personal information without consent

• Engage in any conduct that violates our Community Guidelines

Safety Requirements

• All training must occur in appropriate, safe environments

• Coaches are responsible for ensuring training areas are suitable

• Users should disclose relevant medical conditions or injuries

• Proper protective equipment should be used when appropriate

Reporting

Users can report safety concerns, inappropriate behavior, or policy violations through the platform. We investigate all reports and may take action including account suspension or termination.

Assumption of Risk

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a contact sport that carries inherent risks of injury. By using Juber, you acknowledge and accept these risks. You are responsible for assessing your own fitness and ability to participate in training activities.

Platform Role

Juber is a marketplace that connects athletes with coaches. We do not employ coaches, and coaches are independent contractors. We are not responsible for the actions or conduct of any user.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Juber shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Juber, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

Insurance

• Coaches are required to maintain liability insurance

• Athletes are encouraged to verify their own insurance coverage

• Juber's platform insurance does not replace individual coverage requirements
